Ofer Sagie was born in the 1960s in an idyllic community and grew up amid different cultures. He speaks Hebrew, English, and German. Early in his career, he studied theatre in New York, London, and Tel Aviv and studied Butoh dance in Japan. He has worked on more than forty-five theatre projects in Germany, England, France, Switzerland, Norway, Israel, and other countries as a director, producer, and actor, and he also has extensive experience in lighting and stage design. While living and working in France, he founded his own theatre company. His rich and unusual experiences led him from theatre toward a path of self-exploration. After many years in theatre, he completed four years of holistic education training at the Goetheanum in Switzerland and four years of language, drama, and Bothmer gymnastics training in Israel. After completing his studies in 2003, he continued directing and producing theatre and began offering courses and lectures for adults, young people, and children with special needs in speech, drama, and Bothmer gymnastics. His approach to theatre grows from the spiritual foundations of holistic education, and his workshops engage body, soul, and spirit.
